How does clinicalsurveys.net work?

The registration process is organized by our team assistant Ms, Katharina Koebe, who will provide you with your login information to the clinicalsurveys.net portal.

After logging in at www.clinicalsurveys.net, select "Survey list" on the left of your screen. This will take you to all active surveys.

Select the survey you might want to contribute to. Here, you will access all cases you have already contributed to that survey.

To register new patients, click Add patient. Please use a unique identifier, which must be anonymous and may not allow anyone to guess the real name. After you save the newly registered case, it is then enrolled in your patient list.

Start documentation of the clinical information or revise or complete data of patients already entered into the system, by clicking on the little pen next to the patient's name in your list. This directs you to the respective questionnaire.

At the end of each questionnaire page, click Continue. The system will immediately check for missing values or obvious mistakes/typos in your data, which you can revise if possible or proceed without completion by clicking Continue anyway. Data will be saved and stored once you move to the next page.
You may either finalize documentation of a case in one go or continue later. You just click the little pen next to the patient again and the survey will restart. You may use the pull-down box on top of each page to select survey pages.

Why should I contribute?

In general, most surveys provide remuneration for your work. Also, many provide authorship for publications to major contributors. For details, please check with the general information provided by each surveys.

Why ClinicalSurveys.net?

Surveys provide researchers with demographic or epidemiologic data. These data are of critical interest for research of rare diseases, where sufficiently scaled clinical trials involve a tremendous amount of organization and financial resources. Here, well-designed surveys may provide answers to questions that cannot be investigated by other means. Surveys also allow to provide basic data for statistical assumptions when planning clinical trials. However, while being a powerful tool, many clinicians are lacking the time and financial resources to set up an online survey on their own. Others get frustrated by technical difficulties or poor quality of data entry. At the same time, clinicians willing to contribute to clinical surveys lack the overview of what kind of data is currently needed by whom. ClinicalSurveys.net aims to provide researchers and clinicians with an easy-to-use portal, allowing rapid setup of clinical surveys followed by straightforward data entry.
